LeBron Bicycle Assembly Workshops

Summit Cycling is honored to be the assembler of bicycles for the LeBron James Family Foundation Wheels for Education program. Throughout the first half of the year you have an opportunity to be part of this program. No experience is needed. Volunteers of all skill levels are needed to help assemble and tune the almost 300 bikes.

e20150225_135002January 23, February 20, March 05 – LeBron Bike Assembly Workshops: Join us at 11:00 a.m. on one or more of these Saturdays for a group bicycle assembly workshop. Past participants have found this to be a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. We recommend that you attend our basic bicycle assembly orientation session prior to assembling the bikes.

Bicycle Assembly Orientation

Basic and advanced bicycle assembly orientation is offered on alternating Saturday mornings at Summit Cycling from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. See the details below for the orientation dates.

Basic Bicycle Assembly Orientation — January 16 & 23, February 6 & 20, March 5: We strongly encourage our volunteers to attend these sessions. Our staff walks participants through the basics of assembling a bicycle. This makes the volu2015-08-20 21.37.10nteer’s time more enjoyable and helps our staff during the assembly workshops.

Advanced Bicycle Assembly Orientation – January 30, February 13 & 27: If you enjoy assembling the LeBron James’ bikes, here is your chance to help get the bikes ready for the students. This hands-on workshop led by our staff shows participants how to prepare the bike for final delivery. You learn how to fine tune the gears and brakes and assure the bikes are assembled properly for a safe ride.
